After this, remove the plant from plastic bag which you got from nursery and without disturbing roots, keep on the layer mentioned above in pot. Then add soil, fine sand, cow dung manure or compost, vermicompost, and fill the pot. Keep at least 1 inch distance from top of pot and soil so that water spillage will not occur.

More sunlight, more flower is not right as witnessed by ne first hand. I had 3 passion flower plants on our living floor terrace with South and west open, and these plants (2 purple and 1 red) blossomed there . Then I used cuttings of the purple and got one of these cuttings to thrive and at about 4 freer height, moved it to upstairs terrace which get sun from morn to evening. And the once healthy plant's leaves started to curl up, brown etc, despite watering twice, vigorously. But then, kolkata summer us unforgiving and brutal. Saved the plant by again moving downstairs and now it's full grown and healthy. So, there it is, my story about "more sun"!…

Nice article indeed. I have a question. In June this year, I bought the passion flower vine from nursery and planted in my garden. It was was growing very fast(say 3 inches per day). It has buds now on it but suddenly it has stopped growing for past 5 days. What could be the reason? Is it usual?
